Emergency Meeting Points

Emergency Meeting Points are designated spots across the University’s three campuses that provide temporary shelter for large groups of people usually during a facility-based emergency.

These meeting points are pre-determined and provide community members with a safe area to convene, regroup, or otherwise shelter in the short term in the event of an evacuation or community displacement due to a fire, gas leak, or utility outage.

A notice advising of the activation of an Emergency Meeting Point may be delivered through the University of Toronto UTAlert system, or through other channels. Visit our Stay Connected page for more information.

Browse below for links to the University’s campus maps that indicate where the designated meeting points are on your campus.
